This month we learned about insects and creepy crawlers in our Saturday program.
We talked about how all insects have 6 legs along with what types of creepy crawlers we know of such as snakes and spiders.
We also learned about how we celebrate Grandparents Day to show our grandparents how much we appreciate them.
今月のサタデースクールは、虫を中心としたテーマで作業をしていました。
そして敬老の日があったので、みんなでおじいちゃん、おばあちゃんへのプレゼントも作りました！
大好きなおじいちゃんとおばあちゃんの事を考えながらのクラフトの時間はこども達の笑顔で溢れていました。



"How many spots does the ladybug have? 1 2 3 4 5..... Too many!"
テントウムシの黒いてんてんはいくつあるんだろう？



"I think stag beetles are stronger than rino beetles! I think rino beetles are stronger than stag beetles!"

The Caterpillars are always busy with new and exciting things!
キャタピラーズはいつも楽しいことに囲まれて大忙しです！



In this picture, we are playing a doctor game. You can see one of our friends with a bandage on his head, while another friend is being checked out. The bandage is actually toilet paper!
これは病院ごっこの様子です。
一人ひとりDr.Bethに"My hand hurts."などケガした箇所を伝えて、手当てをしてもらいます。



Our Summer Festival booths were alot of fun! Thanks to our mommies for making this a big success.
大盛況に終わったサマーフェスティバル。たくさんお手伝いを頂きました保護者の皆様、本当にありがとうございました。



With our festival profits, we were able to get some new whiteboard markers for writing practice . We love having fresh new markers! Of course, we'll be getting alot more items for our classroom later on!
収益の一部で、もうインクが出にくくなっていたライティング練習用のマーカーを新調しました！
もちろんマーカーだけではなく、今後も様々なアイテムが届く予定です。とても楽しみなキャタピラーズです。



When Kinder A and B classes went on a field trip, we had a picnic outside. It almost started raining, but luckily the weather held out!
キンダーA,Bが遠足に行っていた日、ナーサリーからPreKの子どもたちは皆で一緒にピクニックを楽しみました！
途中雨が降り出しそうだったのですが、何とか太陽が頑張ってくれ、無事最後まで外でランチを楽しむことが出来ました。



Of course, we also do alot of hard work in class. We recently started the reading program. Here we are, working with our new books.
クラスでは、もちろん難しいことにも挑戦しています！
最近ではリーディングプログラムもはじまり、みな自分の新しい本読みに一生懸命、そして楽しみながら取り組んでいます。

In Penguins we have begun to get ready for our Winter Show. We started off by making the props.
12月のウィンターショーに向けて少しずつ準備を始めています。今日はみんなで小道具作りです。



After we had made the shapes we wanted we painted them during Craft Time.
先生たちが作っておいた土台に絵具で色を塗っていきます。画用紙以外のものを塗るのは初めてなのでみんなワクワク！
順番がまちきれません。



With our props painted and finished we can spend our time learning our lines!
クラスでは劇に登場する動物になりきって遊ぶ姿も増えてきました。セリフもみんなで楽しみながら覚えていこうね！

Hello everyone! August was a great month for Pandas class. The highlight was the Summer Festival and the students were very excited about it. They made lots of posters and decorations and it was great to see everyone's family attend. We also finished our pool time and everyone enjoyed their time playing in the water. This was our last month as Pre-K students and the class really worked hard on everything, including their reading and writing, to move on to KA. Thank you for all your support!
この8月は、Pandasクラスの子どもたちにとってエキサイティングな1ヶ月となりました。
中でもサマーフェスティバルは大盛り上がり！子どもたちもポスターやデコレーション作りに積極的に携わり、たくさんの保護者や来場者の方々にブースへご来場いただきました。　
プール遊びの時間には皆で仲良く水と親しむ時間を過ごすなど、9月からKAへとレベルが上がるPandasクラスでは、現在リーディングやライティングなどにも全力で取り組んでいます。

In our KB class we have started our feelings program. It has been amazing so far, as the students are responding really well to our exercises and activities! In this exercise the children look at a picture; choose something on the picture and try to empathise with the person. Here we are having a great discussion going around the circle and asking for each student their opinion and thoughts on the picture.
現在、KB Lionsクラスでは「フィーリング・プログラム」という新しい取り組みにチャレンジしています。
今回は、絵の中からある形を選択し、自分以外の相手についての感情について理解・共感するという練習を行っています。みんなで輪になってのディスカッションでは、自分の意見や考えを互いに発表し合い、大いに盛り上がりました。



Then the students were asked to write about what they’ve chosen in the picture.They had to write which feeling it represented the most i.e happy, sad, angry or excited. "Which colour: yellow, blue, pink and green, represents the picture the most?"
その後、絵の中から選んだ形がどんな感情（例：喜び・悲しみ・怒りなど）を表しているか、それぞれ文章にしていきます。
「イエロー、ピンク、グリーン・・・どの色がその絵を一番よく表しているかな？」



Once the students completed the exercise, we placed it on the board and had the children look a
t each picture and the different responses that they gave. They discussed how colourful it was and really enjoyed sharing their thoughts.

全員のシートが出来上がったら、みんなで意見交換会。お互いの作品を見ながら、いろいろなアイデアや考え方をシェアし、クラスの友だちについてじっくりと理解を深めたひと時でした。
