The Bubble Factory
We started our own bubble factory with the Panda class this summer and it was a lot of fun!
Pandaクラスと合同でシャボン玉液作りに挑戦しました。
In this photo the Dolphins and Pandas are listening closely as David and I tell them how we are going to make the super special bubble mix.
シャボン玉作りの前に水槽の水の中で空気を見たり、実際にシャボン玉を見ることで興味が湧いてきました。
We started off by listing all the ingredients and the amounts we are going to mix in. First it was a cup of dish soap, a cup and a half of PVA or starch, 4 cups of water, and one small cup of syrup.
みんなで材料の確認をしました。
David is showing the students how to mix in the ingredients for the super special bubble mix.
大きめの容器に材料を入れていきます。
Now that we made the bubble mix we needed to make bubble wands! We used pipe cleaners to make the bubble wands. The students made them all different shapes and sizes to see if would change the shape or size of the bubbles.
最後にシャボン玉用のスティックを手作りしました。
Here we are out in the playground testing out our new bubble wands. We also had some special bubble wands that made tons of bubbles at the same time. We had so much fun!
いよいよ外でシャボン玉遊びです。
We even used bubbles to make bubble art. We mixed in some food coloring into some of the bubble mix and the students blew bubbles onto a sheet a paper. The designs look so cool!
後日、クラフトでも手作りシャボン玉液を使いました。
今回は自分達でいろいろ手作りしたことでシャボン玉遊びを楽しめただけでなく、達成感も味わえたようでした。

Zebras @ 高槻茨木校
As we were growing tomatoes, we decided to learn about where all the different fruits and vegetables come from. We were busy giving our tomato plants water every day to help them grow, so it seemed like a good chance to learn about how foods grow and make a class craft about it.
トマト植えをした体験からZebrasでは、毎日の水遣りを通して果物や植物がどのように育つの話し合いました。果物や野菜によって実のなる場所が異なるということを自分達で考え、大型製作のクラフトからいろいろな事を学びました。
First we drew a picture of a tree and some earth and decided where the fruit and vegetables would grow. In the ground? On the ground? In a tree?
まずはレッスンの前に黒板を使い、野菜や果物がどこに実を付けるのかみんなで話し合いました。
Next, we used our scissors to get in some cutting practice as we completed a matching worksheet.
その次に再度、自分たちでハサミを使いそれぞれでワークシートを作りま
した。
Let’s try and make a big tree together!
みんなで大きな木も作ってみよう！
We also tried to cut out leaves by ourselves. We did a great job!
ハサミの練習中。葉っぱの形に切れるかな？
After we cut the leaves and things, we stuck them on using glue. Can we remember where they should be?
切ったら貼りに行こう。
We made this cool tree! It was so much fun to work as a team together and learn!
果物や野菜もつけたら出来あがり！！
