Caterpillars 千里山田校
The Caterpillars love the song "Yellow Submarine"!
We learned it this month learning about different kinds of transportation,
so we made one together!
We started by drawing our faces showing through the window of the submarine.
Then we had fun using stamps with paint to decorate our submarine.
It was cool to do craft time standing up and walking around.
We enjoyed the freedom to move around and the different perspective.

似顔絵の自分たちが乗っています。
本物にも一度乗ってみたいなー！

We had fun painting together!
Today we enjoyed using rollers and sponges to paint.
We tried mixing colours, it was fun to make zig-zags, dots and use sponge stamps.
今日は、ローラーやスポンジを使って、大きな紙にペインティングを楽しみました。
「Zig-zag!, Dot! Pig！Iｔ is really fun!」 いろいろな模様がでて楽しいね！
Our students learned the words 「Push and Pull,」 moving the rollers back and forth to make beautiful colors. 「Look! It's purple!」 「Rainbow colours!」 「So beautiful!」
４色の色が混ざり合って、気づけばレインボーカラーに！
色の不思議さを実感です。色で遊ぶのって楽しい！
We used the colorfully painted paper as a road for the original cars that the students made.
ペインティングをしたカラフルな紙は,みんなが作ったオリジナルカーが走るRoadになりました。
After we finished the craft, everybody went out to the pool and had a great time splashing around.
It was a wonderful way to enjoy summer!

Kinder A 千里丘校
Today, “Our station time” focused on 「Fine motor skills」
Students chose “chopsticks exercise” and “play dough” activities.
“Play dough” is great for tactile play and allowing for imaginations to flourish.
ねんど遊びには想像力を育てると同時にセラピー効果もあるそうです。
This group is practicing their chopstick skills by picking up small beans.
Everyone looked serous and concentrated so hard. But when they manage it, they smiled at their achievement.
小さな豆を何度も落としながらもつかもうとする子ども達は真剣そのものです。上手につかめた時はとてもうれしそう！この達成感が次のチャレンジにつながるようです。

Nursery 千里丘校
Green, Orange and Brownの雑誌などの切抜きを使って「ひまわり」を作りました。みんなとても指先が器用で小さくちぎることは難なくでき、色分けも上手にできました。このクラフトタイムの中では色の名前や物の名前だけではなく、色の区別を学び指先の運動を重視してすすめていきました。季節のお花であるひまわりなので、とても可愛らしく、子ども達にとって特別なお花が出来上がりました。ヘルパーで来ていただいたご家族の方々ありがとうございました。

スタッフの夏休み
Earlier during theholiday, I went to do some maintenance to my scooter. Because of this, my scooter was ready to goon a road trip!
But, I couldn't decide where to go until finally I made up my mind to head outto Biwa Lake and the Ferry Tour. AtSenrioka School, we all know I have a terrible sense of direction and, as luckwould have it, I got lost in Otsu. Justas the HUGE thunderstorm started!
But that was alright! I love a good thunderstorm (although usually from inside-safely) and sometimes being lost makes for great discoveries.
Here is my scooter, lost:
Trying to find my way around, I saw a sign for 三井寺 and decided check it out before heading on myway. Do you know it?
Today was special because we could go see the Eleven Face Kannon.
After looking around at the differentbuildings and landmarks, I had to remember I was lost. I used my gps (I was using it from the starttoo...embarrassing)and learned route 47 would help me get back home.
Trying to navigate myself back, I found Biwa Lake!
Here is the ferry I wanted to take:
I decided to try again next time. Thestorm was coming back and the thunder and lightning were directly over myhead! (Everyone, please stay safe duringthunderstorms! It was cool to watch buta little scary too.)
I had a really nice day despite the bits of tough luck. I even started a new collection!
