Flyers-Senrioka School-

We have been putting a lot of effort into our reading and composition skills in the Wednesday Flyers afterschool class. Every class, we jump into reading and understanding complex English sentences by solving a children's English riddle. The children really enjoy these riddles, and take their time to write down each word and think very deeply about their meaning in order to discover the hidden answer.

Our class enjoys writing about what we have done over the weekend, and as the Christmas holidays and the snowy winter months are very exciting for children it is a good opportunity to encourage them to write about their experiences outside of school.

This week, many of the children used their journal time to write about what they received from their parents of Santa Claus for Christmas, and talked about who they enjoyed sharing their new toys with or where they enjoyed playing with them. Many of the children drew very elaborate illustrations of their gifts and wrote very detailed descriptions, which showed how happy they were with their gifts.
