Flyers1 - Senrioka School-

The Flyers 1 class have been working very diligently throughout the school year. They have been progressing at a good pace through the Oxford Discover 4 textbooks. We are currently learning about the theme of "How do our bodies work?". We learned several ways we can protect and prevent ourselves from becoming sick. For example, by washing our hands, getting enough rest, wearing a face mask etc.

We recently read an informational text on how our respiratory and circulatory systems work together. The Flyers had a great time doing a balloon blowing activity to check our lung power as well as checking our pulse to see how many times our hearts beat per minute.

For our grammar points we have been learning the how to use adjectives in the correct order. For example, "The new, white, lab coat." We have also been learning about how to use the phrase "used to" to explain actions we did often.

I would like to thank all of the families involved with the Flyers 1 class for making this a great year! I hope that everyone has a wonderful Winter holiday! I am looking forward to seeing and listening to everyone's stories when we come back in the new year!

Movers - Takatsuki Ibaraki School-

Movers class has been working hard on improving their spelling. We have played a variety of games on a variety of different mediums.

Spelling City on the computers has been one of their favourite spelling activities. We have also been using collaboration activities to help support our fluency skills. These games have allowed Movers to rationalize their decisions and communicate their reasonings.
