INSECTS AND CREEPY CRAWLIES BLOG
Insects and creepy crawlies have been our topic this month. There has been a lot of strange sounds coming from the students as they were introduced to the different and wonderful insect world.
We decided to combine some insects onto a class mural, which we started the week before.
今月は虫について学んでいます。日常でもたくさん見かける虫ですが、その生態については知らないことがいっぱいです。レッスンではみんな大興奮。今月のテーマにちなんだクラフトでは、大きな絵を作り、その上に手作りの虫をくっつけることにしました。
First, with the help of some curriculum books, we talked about how insects move in various ways and also how they are differ from each other.
「蝶々はどうやって動くかな？」「バッタはどうかな？」手をはばたかせたり、ジャンプしたり。レッスンでは、虫になりきって考えました。
Then came the fun part – painting. We could choose our own colours as there are many different coloured insects in nature. The paint was watered down so that after painting, we could still see the outlines of the insects.
色々な虫をもっと身近に感じられたら、さぁ、お待ちかねのペイントタイムです！茶色、赤色、緑色…写真でみる虫を観察しながら、水で薄めた絵の具を塗っていきます。
We had to be careful when painting and make sure that we used small brush strokes and didn't paint to much in one area, as the paper we get soggy and rip. We are all very happy with the results and can't wait to see them on the mural.
細い筆を使って、はみ出さないように、線が消えてしまわないように。口を真一文字に結んで、自分の虫と向き合っていました。
みんなの頑張りの結晶、クラスの壁に貼る予定です。お越しになった際には、是非じっくりとご覧ください。
