Our focus this month has been on 'Insects and creepy crawlies'. As the month has gone by, it has gotten cooler and the insects and bugs are starting to disappear. But we have studied them enough to be able to make a craft based on them.
We chose to make a 'Bee Windsock', which would test our fine motor skills. Our first job was to cut out wings. This was challenging as we are still learning how to use scissors effectively. However it was good practice and we managed to achieve our aim.
今回はクラフト時間は色画用紙を切ったり、貼ったりして”ミツバチ”をつくります。九月から進級してきたこども達は、初めてのお道具箱を使う機会にワクワクしてます。まずはさみを使い羽の形に切り取ります。



To create the body of the bee we use black paper bent into a cylinder and also yellow paper for the stripes on a bee. Vertical and horizontal lines confused us a little bit but after it was demonstrated we managed to put the yellow lines on correctly.
黄色の画用紙をのりで貼り付けていきます。どうしたら上手にシマシマになるのかなぁ～。



Glueing is always a messy business and so of us got in a bit of a tangle when trying to apply our 'Pom pom' tape. We ended up putting it on the wrong end – but we had a good laugh about it.
切り取った羽根を胴体に貼り付け、目をチョークで描いたら、はい！完成！



In the end we were impressed with our efforts and the process provided us with some more practice on our fine motor skills. We cannot wait for it to dry so we can take it outside and see how the wind flows through it.
のりが乾いたらお外で遊べることを伝えると、こども達からは”Yeah!"との歓声があがり、そーと棚の上に置き、次の日を楽しみに帰宅するこども達でした！
