All children have different learning styles。 For the more physical learners, Total Physical Response (TPR) is a really good way to learn. Using their bodies, the children learn to remember the names of shapes all at the same time as they make the same shapes.
体を動かしながら覚えることで体に染み付いたようで、家でも"Star"、"Circle" など言ってママ、パパにみせてからだを動かしているようです。

Thinking of our favourite song, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, we made stars. Most of the children put their hands up in the air and spread out their legs to make giant stars.
体全体をみてみると、きらきら星でお馴染みのお星様☆



The children had to think about how to make the three points to the triangles. Look at how well we did!
股の間と床をよく見ると、三角形ですね△



Squares and rectangles are a challenge for our gross motor skills and our balance! Look at the different ways the children tried to make these shapes. Some are face down and some are face up!
体の内側を見てみてください、正方形のできあがり。


体の外側を見ると長方形が出来上がりました。


For an oval the children weren’t too sure what to do so they curled up into a ball. That was a pretty good idea!
体の外側をみれば、とても簡単、みんなが大好きなポーズは、楕円形のようです。
