今月はジムの様子をご紹介します！
This month we will show you a glimpse of what our gym time looks like!
This is the "Circuit Program" the students have been working on since they were in Nursery. The students go around the circuit and pass through all of the different obstacles!
ナーサリーの頃から続けている『サーキットプログラム』。ジムの真ん中に長方形の空間を作り、その回りを走りながら、少しずつ増えていく障害物を一つ一つクリアしていきます。
"Feet together!" The students practice jumping off of the gym boxes. They're getting taller and taller! "1, 2, 3 jump!"
だんだん高くなっていく跳び箱をよじ登り、"1,2,3"の合図で両足揃えてジャンプ！
We also have fun in the gym working on our foot-eye coordination by playing soccer and kicking the balls around! "No hands!" It took some time to get used to using just our legs, but we got the hang of it and it was so much fun.
時にはサーキットプログラムのみでなく、サッカーなどのボールを使ったジムも行います。『足で蹴る』という基本的なルールに慣れるのに少し時間はかかりましたが、みんな一所懸命ボールを追いかけて"Kick!"といいながらボールを蹴ることができました。
When the music stops we put our hands on our heads and listen to the teacher!
先生の話を聞くときは、両手は頭。
Now it's time to shoot the balls into the goals! Can you get it passed the teachers?
最後には先生が立ちはだかるゴールに向かってシュート！
Gym time is great for the students' physical health and it's so much fun for everyone! By running, jumping, climbing, stretching, kicking and balancing the students get a chance to work on full body movements that are difficult to practice in the classroom. Each week the students get excited for gym time and put on their gym shoes so quickly! Let's keep having lots of fun!
全身を使った運動は、こども達の成長には欠かせません。またジムは、体を思い切り動かし溜まったエネルギーを発散する場でもあります。
怪我のないように注意を払いながら、こども達のレベルに合わせてチャレンジを与え、みんなが心から楽しめるジムができればいいなと思います。
