AUTUMN AND HALLOWEEN
It's getting colder and we are starting to see changes in nature. Autumn is upon us and it is time to investigate this interesting season.
風も冷たくなり、園庭の木々はすっかり赤く色づいていますね。そこで今月、PRE-Kでは「Autumn Tree」について学ぶことにしました。
After talking about the differences between Autumn and Summer and why the leaves change colour and fall to the ground, we decided to get a little bit messy and make our own Autumn trees.
夏と秋の違いって何だろう？気温のこと、葉の色のこと、こども達と一緒に考えてみました。実際に園庭に落ちていた葉も観察してみると、「Green! Yellow! Red! Green and Yellow! 」単色の葉、色がミックスされた葉…秋、そして冬に向けて準備している木の証拠を少しずつ発見できました。特に、葉が木から落ちて、すっかり無くなってしまうこと…dieの話を聞いたとき、こどもたちは一番驚いていたようです。まだまだ未知の感覚です。
With the teachers help we painted our hand and arm brown. It felt sticky and cold but the brush strokes tickled.
レッスンのあとは、お待ちかねのクラフトライム！Autumn Treeを描きます。今回、こども達はブラシを使いません。先生が、ペイントブラシで絵具を直にこども達の手に塗っていくのです。冷たくって、くすぐったくって、ぬめぬめしていて…思わず身体をきゅーっと縮めてしまうね。それでもこども達は自分の塗ってもらう番が来るのを、並びながら待ちきれないようでした。
Carefully moving to our table, we then made our tree trunk by pressing our hand and arm onto the paper.
絵具でベタベタの手とともに、自分の紙の場所まで移動します。誰かに触れないように慎重に…紙に手を押し当てるときも、そ～っと、手の形を壊してしまわないように…。
After washing our hand and arm we then proceeded to make the Autumn leaves with our fingertips. The leaves were yellow and orange to match dying Autumn leaves.
一度手を洗った後には、指先を使ってAutumn Leavesを描きます。「Autum Leaves♪Falling Falling♪」音楽のレッスンで習った歌を口ずさみながら描く子も。枝先の葉だけではなく、落ち葉もたくさん描きました。
We were pleased with the result and proudly displayed our Autumn forest on the wall.
こども達ひとりひとりのセンスが発揮され、とっても美しいAutumn Forestが教室に現れました！
