The Solar System

Last month the Pandas learned all about the Solar System. We learned that there are eight planets, and since there are eight Pandas, we decided to each make a planet!
先月、Pandasでは太陽系について学びました。太陽系には8つの星があります。8人編成のパンダクラスは、惑星を作ろうと決めました！






First, we blew up balloons to the proper size. Then, we had to cover the whole balloon with strips of newspaper that we dipped in watered down glue.
まず、ちょうどいい大きさに風船を膨らまします。そして、新聞紙を細長く切り、のりに浸して風船を覆うように貼り付けます。



Then, our planets needed to dry completely.
完全に乾くのを待ちます。



After they were dry, we painted them to match the pictures in our Solar System books.
We only had primary colors, so we had to mix them to make the colors we needed.

完全に乾いたら、太陽系の本に載っている惑星を参考に色を塗ります。絵の具をいろいろ混ぜて、必要な色を作りました。



Some of us found that our hands were better tools than the paintbrushes!
Pandasの何人かは、この丸い惑星に色を塗るには、絵筆よりも手を使うほうがいいと思いつきました！



Once the paint dried, we added some details, then we hung them up outside of our classroom.
絵の具が乾いたら、飾りを付けて出来上がりです。教室の外に飾っているので見に来てね！
