“A Bus full of Monkeys”

The theme for the month of August is transportation and going places! One of the best, biggest, and most visible vehicles the children see on a regular basis, is a big city bus!
We used a few different days to explore different crafts and activities to express the joy of riding a bus in the classroom. First, we learned how to make an origami bus craft! The folding was challenging, but after some trial and error, everyone managed to make a great origami bus!

８月のテーマは乗り物と楽しい場所です。



Monkeysは折り紙でバスを作りました。この日、Monkeysは初めての折り紙に挑戦しました！折りかたの説明をよく聞かないとね！難しいところもあったけど、頑張りました！



Next we glued the buses down onto construction paper, and decorated them all with crayons! All of the pictures looked wonderful, and they will be hanging in the entryway soon, so if you want to see the bus origami art, come to Takatsuki soon!
画用紙に貼った後は、その周りに好きな絵を描きました。家族の絵を描いたり、雨の中をバスが走っているところを描いたり、思い思いに楽しみました！



The next activity was creating our own steering wheels, so we can be bus drivers! We rolled, twisted, and taped newspapers to make circles that we can pretend are steering wheels. Once they were finished…
次は新聞紙を使ったアクティビティです。新聞紙を握って、ねじって、手の力をたくさん使いました！さぁなにが出来たのかな？



All aboard the Monkey Bus! We set up chairs, Chiharu put on her bus driver hat, and we all learned how to drive a bus together.
じゃじゃーん！バスのハンドルです！椅子をバスの座席みたいに並べてバスの運転手に変身！！！どこに行こうかな？？

Finally, with bus driver training completed, we took a big bus tour of the entire school! We went up to the 3rd floor, and down to the 1st floor too. Eric was the customer, riding in the bus, because he had his bus pass!
自分で作ったハンドルでスクールの中をドライブしました！
右に曲がったり、急ブレーキをかけたり、楽しくドライブをしました！
今回のクラフトは手先をたくさん使いました！頑張ったＭonkeysに拍手です！！
