Last month we learned all about plants. The Panda’s all know that there are many different plants that we eat every day, such as fruits and vegetables, but can we eat a whole plant? They were SO surprised when Liz told them they were going to eat ALL the parts of a plant for a snack!
先月、パンダクラスは植物について学びました。
私達は毎日、果物や野菜などたくさんの植物を食べていますね。
でも、まるごと食べられるものはあるのかな？

リズが「今日はスナックとして、みんなの前にある野菜を全部食べるんだよ！」と話すと、みんなとても驚いていました！




Everyone was very excited, but surprised to learn that we can eat seeds, flowers, stems, leaves and roots.
みんなは種・花・茎・葉・根が食べられるものだと知り、驚きでいっぱいです。もちろん実験はとても盛り上がりました！



Even though they had never eaten some of the things before, everyone tried everything (and liked everything!)
こどもが食べた事がない物もいくつかありましたが、みんな果敢にトライしていました。（おいしかったようです！）




The Pandas voted, and their favorite part of the plant was the seeds (sunflower seeds).
Many Pandas also really liked the broccoli flowers.
パンダクラスでは投票でどの植物が一番好きかを決めました。1位は「ひまわりの種」でした。また、ブロッコリーも人気がありました。




After they finished their whole plant snack, everyone drew pictures of the different things they ate.
実験後はみんなで食べた物の絵を描きました。



Learning about plants is fun AND yummy!
