Movers-Takatsuki Ibaraki-

Movers-Takatsuki Ibaraki-
For a recent project at the end of a unit, the Movers made a neighborhood map. This was exciting for the children because it was a chance to use a lot of new vocabulary they had learned over units 13 & 14.

First, the children worked together to think about places that are important in a community. As they came up with a list of places, I asked them to explain why they thought each one was important. Once the list was finished, they began drawing and labeling the places on the map together.

They also needed to include their own home and give it an address with a house number. Once it was finished, we hung it up and let the class talk about it.
This looks like a wonderful place to live!
