Summer School Takatsuki-Ibaraki Blog (Day-3 Wetlands)
It’s Wednesday! A rather wet Wednesday and we have been exploring wetland habitats.
サマースクールも３日目となり、今日は水曜日の「水」に関連した湿地を探索しました。
In our Circle Time, the children learnt key words for the day. We then had a giant game of snakes and ladders.
Watch out for those snakes!
サークルタイムでは、今日のキーワードをしっかり学んだ後、大蛇とはしごを使ったゲームで盛り上がりました。蛇がいっぱいいるよ、気を付けて！
Each day, the children are making a habitat. Today, the children practiced their scissor skills and made some very decorative cards.
今日もこども達独自の生息地を作成しました。器用にはさみを使い、さまざまな装飾を施しました。
Pool play was postponed until tomorrow, but we got to be active in the playground.
Here are two young pioneers tackling our alphabet climbing wall.
あいにく今日も曇り空、プールは明日に延期となりましたが、代わりに園庭で大いに遊びました。Pioneer（開拓者）さながら、アルファベットでできたクライミングウォールに挑戦です！
Our older class explored how water travels and colours.
We placed three jars in a row. The children folded two paper towels and placed one end in each jar so that the three are connected. They poured water into the two end jars and added a primary colour to each (we used food colouring). The middle jar was left empty. What will happen? Will the middle jar remain empty or will the water travel? Try it at home in order to find out.
大きなこどものクラスでは、水の旅と色について興味深い実験を行いました。
透明ガラス瓶を3つ並べ、こども達が細長く折りたたんだ2枚のペーパータオルをそれぞれの瓶に渡し、3つの瓶をつなげます。両端の瓶に水を注ぎ、それぞれ違う色の食紅を入れ、真ん中の瓶は空のまま置いておきます。真ん中の瓶は空のままでしょうか？水が移動するのでしょうか？是非ご家庭でも試してみてくださいね！
