Movers - Takatsuki Ibaraki School
Hello everyone!
It has been very exciting for Movers classes! In Monday's Incredible English class, the students have been working with maps. They learned to read a map using coordinates and learned about a symbol key. They also constructed their own maps using their own symbols and designs. Everyone showed a lot of creativity and had fun telling each other where things were on their map. We've also studied places in our town. The students learned the names of key places and how to describe where they are located. The class enjoyed writing about their favorite places.
In Tuesday's class, the students studied famous places in the world. They learned to use descriptive words like biggest, tallest, and longest. They measured objects and reported to their classmates. They also used the internet to look up things such as the longest river, the highest mountain, and the most populated city. They also learned to describe activities using a clock and different times of the day. They also used words such as often, always, never, and sometimes. They enjoyed describing their days and what they do to each other.
In both classes, we've studied for the upcoming YLE exam. The students worked hard on their practice tests which included reading, writing, and listening. The students also enjoyed our big reunion Halloween party. Everyone looked great in their costumes and had a great time playing games and trick or treating. Our winter break is soon approaching and we wish everyone a fun and safe holiday season! Thank you for your support!
