Flyers 1 has a classroom atmosphere filled with excitement and laughter. The children come to class to learn and improve their English and we always make sure they do but we also make sure to have fun and enjoy the learning process. So how do we keep class interesting especially after the children have already had a long day at Japanese school?
Flyers 1 has been studying Kidz Box which is filled with great illustrations that are always interesting to look at and grab the children’s attention. The content of Kidz Box always tries to relate to the children such as with school subjects and school schedules. The language they learn is the language they can use to talk about themselves and learn about each other in English.

Kidz Box has an online program for the children to practice everything they have been studying in the books but with more games like crosswords and sentence building. This is also a good opportunity for the children to focus on their individual skill level. This is also good for shy children to show their strengths as they may not like speaking so much in class but enjoy online activities that test their English comprehension.

Flyers 1 love playing games so it's been important to include different types of games to give them a break from the books to keep them in a positive mood but still be practicing their English. We have a variety of games we like to play in teams such as spelling challenges where both teams pick a word from the chapter we are studying for the other team to spell.
