Movers 1 -Senri Yamada School-

Greetings Movers 1 Parents! This is Alexis Fu. I want to personally thank you, parents, for supporting your children in their educational journey to learning English. Because of your undying support, your child has realized the importance of the English language in the world around them. They come into class, each and every day, ready to learn. And above all, they have the PASSION to learn! Because of their enthusiasm, they have already learned so much. They have been improving their English ability by speaking with each other in complete sentences while self-correcting their own grammar along the way!

In the month of June, we have started taking practice tests for the YLE test in November. We focused on reading the instructions first and trying our best even on difficult questions. We have also focused on learning about animals, their habitats, and habits. The children loved learning about these four animals: eagles, oppossums, honeybees, and crabs. We read about these animals together as a class, pointing to the words as we read them.

The children then were split into groups of four and were each assigned a different animal. They were then given poster paper to draw what they liked most about their animal along with a written a paragraph describing their animals' habitats and traits. The children worked so hard together with their partners and were very enthusiastic to share their work with each other. They were very creative in their illustrations and used their best handwriting skills!

Great job, Movers! Keep up the great work! Please look forward to seeing their work on display at the school.

Sincerely,
Alexis Fu
