Zebras @ 高槻茨木校
This month we have been getting ready for Sports Day. We practiced with Panda class many times to play the “take the tail game”. At first the Zebras really struggled to understand the game. Taking the other team’s tails and running away at the same time was too hard, but little by little and with Panda class stepping in as the rival team we have been able to fight hard and sometimes win! Of course, it’s not the winning that counts; it is a lot of fun too.
今回はスポーツデイが近づいているという事もあり、ZebrasとPandas で一緒にスポーツデイの練習をしました。同じ競技をするため、Zebras にとっては月齢の高い対戦相手で良いトレーニングになったと思います。最初は走るスピードやシッポのとり方が分からなかったZebrasでしたが、少しずつコツつかみスキルアップできたと思います。こういったルール遊びや団結する遊びが出来るようになってくると活動の幅も広がりを見せてくると感じます。

初めはみんなで準備運動とルール説明を聞きました。

Pre-Kでは今後もこういったルールのある集団遊びを通してバランス感覚や相手との距離感、運動能力を伸ばしていきたいと考えています。

Caterpillars ＠ 千里山田校
It's that time of year... Sports Day!
The Caterpillars are hard at work practicing for our events.
5月にはいり、スポーツデイの季節がやってきました！
キャタピラーズも競技にむけて楽しく練習に取り組んでいます。
We love Take the Tail Game!
大好きなしっぽとりゲームです。
I got a tail!
We still have our tails!
しっぽを取られないまま逃げ切りました！
We practice our running race outside.
Look how fast we can go!
We're really looking forward to Sports Day and we hope you are too.

Butterflies @ 千里山田校
Last month the Butterflies baked cookies together with the Koalas class to learn about smell, taste and touch.
We used rice flour, sugar, eggs and vanilla extract to make them!
先月Koalasクラスと一緒にクッキーを焼きました。クッキー作りを通して匂いや、味、食感を学びました。今回のクッキー作りでは、米粉と砂糖、卵、バニラエッセンスを使いました。
We had a great time discovering what the cookies feel and taste like as well as how it smelled.
We added vanilla extract, so the cookies smelled amazing! The Butterflies and Koalas also enjoyed making shapes out of the dough using cookie cutters.
The children looked adorable in their aprons!
クッキーの食感や、味や匂いをクッキー作りを通して発見することができました。
バニラエッセンスを使ったので、クッキーはとても甘くていい匂いがしました。
KoalasクラスとButterfliesクラスのこども達はいろいろな形にクッキー生地を型を使って作りました。
We ended up eating lunch together with the Koalas.
The classroom was completely full!
クッキー作りの後、ButterfliesクラスでKoalasクラスのこども達と一緒にランチを食べました。
教室は満員でしたが、とてもにぎやかで楽しかったです。

どんな感触がするかな？ やわらかいよ！
"What does it smell like? It smells good!"
どんなにおいがするかな？
"How do they taste? They taste good!"
お味はどうかな？ おいしいよ～！

Canola Project 2014 ＠千里丘・高槻茨木校
菜の花の鞘がどんどん膨らんで、中を見てみると、もうすでに緑から黒い種になっていました。黒い種を作るために干すこと、そして黒い種から油が採れる話を聞きました。
KB・KAクラスのこどもたちと菜の花を切って乾かす作業です。細い茎は簡単にカットできるけど、太い茎は友達の力が必要です。 ”Help me please!”
茎を束ねるのも一人では難しいけれど、力を合わせると、”We can do it!”
高いところは大人、他の作業はほとんどこどもたちが自主的に行っていましたよ。
土を耕しながら、虫探し?!
ブルーシートの上を履く作業と、落ちた種を拾う作業。
約1時間の作業、みんなよく頑張りました！

Pandas @ 高槻茨木校
Hello everyone! April was a very exciting first month for Pandas class! Students were introduced to the new classroom and their classmates. The students have been very energetic and talkative. They have been trying hard to follow the rules and assume the responsibility of being older students. They have been getting along well together and they are bonding together as a class. Thank you for your support!
こんにちは！パンダクラスの4月はとてもエキサイティングでした！
みんな新しい教室やクラスメイトに興味深々な様子でした。
また、クラスのルールを守ろうとする姿勢がみられ、年上のクラスになったという責任感を感じているようでした。これから1年間、宜しくお願いします！
Easter Baskets: The students were very excited about the Easter Party and made a basket for their eggs and the Egg Hunt.
4月の行事といえばイースターですね。エッグハント用のバスケットを作りました。みんな一生懸命作っていましたよ。
Gym: In gym class, students have been circuit training. They can run, jump, crawl, and go over obstacles.
ジムの時間には、サーキットトレーニングを行っています。走ったり、ジャンプやクロールをしたり、時には障害物を超えたりと、とても楽しそうです。
Lining Up: Pandas class has a Line Leader and two Lunch Helpers. Students take turns for these helper roles.
パンダクラスでは、毎日交代でラインリーダーとランチヘルパーの役割を決めています。
Lunch: Students have been trying their best to eat their lunch and practice good table manners. Some students have begun using chopsticks as well.
ランチの時間は、テーブルマナーの練習をしています。みんなランチをおいしそうに食べていますね。中にはお箸を使える子もいますよ。
Self-protraits: April's theme was All About Me and the students got to talk about themselves and their families. They had fun making these crafts and pictures.
4月のテーマは「僕・私について」でした。みんなで自分自身や家族について話し合いました。それをもとに、自分の似顔絵を作りました。似てるかな？
