The New Year has come and gone. It is know 2014, so it is time for us to write and decorate a New Year card for our family.
皆さま、明けましておめでとうございます！
１月のクラフトでは、年賀状を作ることにしました！
First we had the chance to practice our handwriting by tracing and then writing 'Happy New Year'. Our teacher said everyone did a fantastic job.
まずは見本を見ながら、新年のメッセージを一生懸命書きました。空間を意識しながら、一文字一文字真剣です。
For each year in Japan we have a different animal. This year it is the turn of the Horse. So for our cards we used a template to trace an outline of a horse.
次に、今年の干支である馬の形の型紙をなぞりました。凹凸が細かく少し難しい形ですが、紙をしっかり押さえながら、右手と左手を動かします。
After colouring and decorating our card we cut out and pasted on our earlier handwriting.
そして、自分でなぞった馬を好きな色に塗りました。茶色い馬、魔法のようにカラフルな馬、それぞれ自分だけの特別な馬です。色塗りを終えたら、先に書いていたメッセージを切り取り、貼り付けました。どれくらいの幅に切るかを判断すること、また真っ直ぐに切ることも難しいですが、手の神経に集中して取り組みました。
It is usual to place a picture of yourself on the card, so the teacher took our picture for us to paste on later.. Happy New Year everyone.
こども達１人１人の写真も撮りましたので、それを貼り付けたら出来上がりです。お手元に届くことを楽しみにお待ちください！

Kinder A @千里丘校
Each year, we put profits from the Summer festival towards materials that will help educate and motivate the children in some way.This time, we targeted on our world and maths.
A set of wooden scales has been helping children with estimation, counting, the properties of certain objects… We look everywhere for new objects to weigh. Some of the children were a little surprised when a large object weighed less than a smaller one.
To help us better understand our world and it’s many countries, we purchased a map and flag set. In Kinder A we focus on a select group, but now children are becoming interested in other places and matching the flag to it’s location.
We wanted something to help us learn more about other cultures, animals and countries. A giant jigsaw puzzle with a poster included has helped greatly. We can now relate our anteater to South America and even find a magic carpet or Santa Claus.
We would like to thank the Kinder A parents for all their hard work and support at the Summer festival and the time leading up to it. Also, everyone who came and supported the booth by playing our games. Kinder A has already been making very good use of these new resources.
Summer festivalでは、保護者の皆様のたくさんの御協力により、大成功を収めました。
そして、ＫＡクラスに新しい教具がやってきました。
世界の国に興味深々のこどもたちは、World mapを見た瞬間、目をキラキラ輝かせ、自分たちの知っている
国の名前を見つけては大興奮。さっそく、国の場所と国旗を探し長い時間取り組んでいました。
モンテッソーリ教具の「はかり」は、身近なものをのせて重さをはかり、使うたびに、新しい発見をしています。重さだけではなく、数を
数える勉強にもなっています。
時にはひとりで、集中して取り組んだり、友達と一緒に取り組んだりと、こどもたちの集中力や、社交性も育むことができる素敵な教具を
クラスにおくことができました。 保護者の皆様、本当にありがとうございました。大切に使わせていただきます。
