Koalas ＠千里山田校
The class has been doing a great making props for the winter show in December.
The Series of pictures is from one of the thing that they have made through November.What you can see here is the Mitten that the animals will hide behind.
コアラクラスのウィンターショーでの演目は『てぶくろ』です。今日はそのショーに出てくるミトンの手袋をみんなで作りました。動物達がたくさん入るミトンの手袋なので、とても大きいのです。
先生が書いてくれたMITTENの線の上にボンドをつけたポンポンを乗せていきます。次は何色にしようかな？ どこに乗せようかな？と考えながら。
MITTENの字が遠くからでも見えるように、隙間なくちゃんとポンポンを乗せられました。行儀良く、上手に出来ましたね。

Turtles ＠千里山田校
Thanks to the hard work of our talented and enthusiastic parents, Turtles class was able to buy many wonderful toys with the 'Summer Festival' profit. We appreciate our kind and capable moms and dads!
サマーフェスティバルでのご協力、ありがとうございました！熱心で多才な保護者の皆さまのおかげで、素敵なおもちゃをたくさん購入することができました！感謝しております。
1. Giant Blocks
全身でブロック
This is our biggest and favorite purchase.
このおもちゃが購入したものの中で1番大きいもので、とても人気です。
It can be used in so many different ways that we bought 3 boxes of the same blocks.
3箱同じものを購入したので、いろいろなものが作れます。
We were really excited when they first arrived. #1
おもちゃが届いたときは、大喜び！
Children built a small house. #2
小さな家です。
Then everyone made a bigger house together.#3
今度は、みんなで一緒に大きな家をつくりました。
We played, read and slept in the house. #4
お家の中で遊んだり、読んだり、眠ったり…
Variations were created and we could try different activities. #5
他にも違うアクティビティを楽しめますね。
2. Erasable Drawing Board with Shapes.
Every child in Turtles have their own drawing boards. We can use the pen to draw, as well as stamp, then push the handle to the right to erase everything. #6 #7
ひとり1つずつ、自分用のお絵描きボードです。ペンで描いたり、スタンプを押したり、描いたものを消すことができます。
3. Walking Wooden Steps
We also have 12 pairs of these Japanese traditional wooden slippers. They are quite difficult to balance on but the teachers hold the children one by one and help them walk in these.

日本の伝統的なおもちゃ、ぽっくりです。バランスをとるのがとても難しいけれど、先生に支えてもらいながら一歩ずつ歩けます！
4. Activity Book - Lines & Pictures

Turtles are practicing to hold crayons and draw lines or shapes, make dots and so on. This also develops our concentration span as well as fine motor skills. #10 #11
クレヨンの持ち方を練習しながら、線を引いたり、形を描いたり、点を描いたり…など。手先の器用さだけでなく、集中力を高めます。
5. The Very Hungry Caterpillar Coloring Book
We color the pages to be more familiar with our Winter Show story! #12 #13
Winter Showのストーリーの内容と同じです。自分でぬりえをして進めると、ストーリーが分かりやすいですね！

Butterflies ＠千里山田校
We are very proud of the Butterflies class. This year the class chose to split their summer festival profits in half. Half went to purchasing tool kits for working with cardboard called Make-Do. The children used the sets in october to build our maze and scavenger hunt for the Halloween Party. We even got to eat in the middle of the maze before we took it done. Thanks again to Tatsunori, our bus driver, and Jason from Bears for helping to finish the maze and thanks also to the parent helpers the scavenger hunt was a big success.
私達バタフライズクラスでは、サマーフェスティバルの収益を半分に分けて使う事をみんなで話し合って決めました。
１つは、Make-Doというおもちゃの購入。段ボールを切ったり、貼り付けたりして遊ぶ知育おもちゃです。その集大成として、ハロウィンパーティで使う迷路を作りました。

This is our maze! for Halloween party
The other half (actually, more than half) we decided to donate to a cause in need, and settled on the nearby Ronald McDonald House. The children took a field trip there and learned that the Ronald McDonald House provides residence for families of children with heart conditions being treated at the neighboring hospital. This allows family to visit the sick children on a daily basis while they are in the hospital. These children come from all parts of Japan, ranging as far as Hokkaido, Kyushu, etc. And because we still have a little left over (we found a good deal on the tool sets) we will be purchasing a science kit in the near future as well. Thank you again to all the parents who helped make this year's summer festival a success and thanks to Butterflies parents who supported and discussed this years donation project.
もう１つの収益は、私達のコミュニティにある施設への寄付に充てました。今回、ドナルドマクドナルドハウスさんへ連絡をしてみたところ、見学する事を快く受け入れて下さったので、実際にハウスを訪れて、寄付金を渡す事ができました。５歳という年齢のこども達にとって、理解が難しい事もあったかと思いますが、見学中には話をしっかりと聞けていました。この試みで、少しでも何かこども達に感じ取ってもらえれば嬉しく思います。

Bees ＠千里山田校
We have received our purchases from the money we made at the summer festival, and we got some really great stuff. サマーフェスティバルの収益でクラスのために数点おもちゃや文具などを購入しました。
We purchased a set of three Sesame Street character stuffed animals for a new thing we will start this month.
The kids are going to take the stuffed animals home for the weekend and then when they bring them back on Monday they have to tell us what they did with them.
購入したものの1つ目は、今月から始める新しい取り組みで使用するセサミストリートのぬいぐるみです。こども達は、毎週末これらのぬいぐるみを順番にお家に連れて帰り、一緒に週末を過ごします。そして、月曜日にクラスのみんなに一緒に何をしたのかを発表します。
We also got a new Circle Time Center!
The kids really love it and it has been a really great teaching tool!
購入したもの2つ目は、サークルタイムセンターです。楽しく効率的に言葉や言い回しを学んでいくことができ、こども達にも大好評です。
The next thing we purchased were new erasers for our white boards. The kids are writing their names everyday on laminated sheets and they love these erasers.
そして3つ目は、ホワイトボード用の新しい消しゴムです。こども達は毎朝ラミネートしたシートに自分達の名前を書く練習をするので、この消しゴムを使って間違いを消したり、書き終わった後をきれいに消しています。
Last, we got some new puzzles and picture books for the kids to play with. We also got new stamps for our calendars and colorful markers to use in craft time.
そして最後は、遊びの時間に大活躍する新しいパズルと絵本です。また、カレンダーに押す新しいスタンプとクラフトに使うペンも購入しました。
We also had our moon viewing this month and the kids had a lot of fun making dumplings.
また10月日はお月見団子を作りました。こども達はみんな自分達の手でおだんごをころころと丸め、とても楽しんでいました。
Of course the best part of October is Halloween, and we made many different interesting crafts and played a lot of fun spooky games.
10月の一番のお楽しみはハロウィンです。クラフトでは、たくさんのハロウィンにちなんだものをつくりました。またハロウィンにちなんだ楽しいゲームもいろいろしました。
The costumes the kids wore to school on Halloween were really unique and fun.
They had a lot of fun telling their friends about what they were wearing and pretending to be that character for a day!
It was really fun!
ハロウィン当日のこども達のコスチュームはどれもとても個性的で楽しいものばかりでした。みんなで自分のコスチュームについて話したり、そのコスチュームのキャラクターになりきって遊んだりと笑顔がいっぱいあふれ、特別な1日を満喫できたと思います。

Tigers ＠千里山田校
Everybody need some time away from work and school. We took the students to the park for some fun and relaxation. They enjoyed sliding, climbing, running and exploring a different place.タイガースのみんなで、学校から離れて小さな公園へお散歩にでかけました。
園庭にはない遊具を使って遊ぶのが新鮮でみんな笑顔で走り回っていました！
These next couple of pictures are of things we were able to purchase with our summer festival profits. We haven't had a chance to use them yet , but it will be something to look forward to building next year after the winter break.
