Koalas ＠千里山田校
10月といえばハロウィンというほど、最近は日本でもとても人気のイベントですが、ここグローバルヴィレッジでも大人気で10月に入るとハロウィンの飾り付けや工作があちこちで行われています。
今日は窓に貼るハロウィン飾りを作りました。大きな白い紙の上に、かぼちゃやお化けなどの形に切り抜いた白い紙を置き、その周りをインクをつけたスポンジでぽんぽんとステンシルしていきます。ちゃんと抑えないとずれてしまうので、みんな真剣です。
ステンシルを終えて、しばらく乾かした後今度はクレヨンでステンシルした中に絵を描いていきます。それぞれ思い思いの絵を描きます。でもハロウィンだから、恐いものだよね。などと話しながら。
自分の描いた絵をみんなに見せたり、見せてもらった絵をみて創造を膨らましてまた描き足したり。とても楽しくて、ちょっと恐そうなハロウィンの飾りが出来ました。ハロウィンの日が楽しみです。
The class made stencils with a little help. Next we used spongers to paint around our shapes
After letting the paint dry everyone coloured in the shapes with their crayons.
This was the end result of the classes work they did a great job. The idea behind this craft was to have the students choice how they wanted to make it and what we were going to use.
With each class craft the Koalas are doing improving with working each other and taking turns about each other's ideas.

今日は窓に貼るハロウィン飾りを作りました。大きな白い紙の上に、かぼちゃやお化けなどの形に切り抜いた白い紙を置き、その周りをインクをつけたスポンジでぽんぽんとステンシルしていきます。ちゃんと抑えないとずれてしまうので、みんな真剣です。

Ｔurtles ＠千里山田校
October is time for creepy creatures.
So Turtles decided to make some Halloween decorations.
10月は、少～し気味の悪い生き物が登場する時期ですね。タートルズはハロウィンのかざりを作ることにしました。
Today we are making Incy Wincy spiders.
今日は、クモを作ります。
First we listen carefully.
まず、作り方を良く聞いて、
Then we stick eight legs.
8本の足を付けます。
Some friends are touching a big toy spider!
大きなおもちゃのクモをさわってるよ～！
Next we put two eye stickers.
2つ、目のステッカーをはると
Last comes the mouth.
最後は、くちです。
Can you find the best one?

Moon viewing cooking @高槻茨木校
毎日キッチンから送られてくる、お楽しみのランチ。高槻茨木校のこどもはどの子もとにかくよく食べます！
今日はデザートになるお月見団子を自分たちで作りました！
Curiosity always gets the best of everyone especially when the children are making something for their own lunch. “What’s that “they think?
清潔なスモックに着替え、手首まで念入りに洗います。でも・・・キッチンから送られてきた白い生地に、気が取られているようですね？！
This little finger went to the market, this little finger stayed at home; these little children stayed and rolled mocha all morning long.
小さな手と指でコロコロ転がしましょう！
Round, round, I can make it round and oval and any shape you want, buts it great fun just rolling it.
丸かったりだ円だったり様々ですが、楽しいな～！
Someone said roll it round but guess what shape is under his hand. That’s right “splat!” it’s flat of course.
丸めようね、そういったはずが・・・ぺっちゃんこかな？
And for my next trick I will make a Jack-o-lantern, and it’s a mochi ball still. He will try again next year maybe.
上手く出来たり出来なかったり、それでもみんな楽しく頑張りました。それが大切です！
Can everyone see, once you have a ball you have to be very careful it doesn’t roll away, then slowly put him in the tray for the kitchen to cook.
「ちょうどいいサイズに丸めたら、そっとトレイに並べよう。そしたらキッチンで茹でてくれるよ！」
This is strange like Halloween. It’s not sticky, but soft. It has no smell, but taste great. Maybe they are thinking all of this while rolling the dough into round balls.
丸めながらみんなは考えていると思います。『べちゃべちゃしていないな・・・やわらかくって匂いもしない・・・でもおいしいはず！』ちょっとしたミステリーですね？！
Rolling, rolling, rolling in my tray, one ball, two ball three balls more, one for nursery one for us and one for everyone who is in the school.
どんどん丸めていっぱい作ろう！ボクの分、ワタシの分、みんなの分！
They are so white they look like snow balls, but these ones we can eat and they taste better than snow balls can ever do.
やったー！茹であがってランチと一緒に帰って来ました。白くてスノーボールみたいだけど、雪なんかよりずっとおいしいよ！
My lunch box has a space, “why!” they ask themselves. Then a friend tells them it’s for the mochi they made earlier in the day. ENJOY.
「あ！お弁当箱に空の部分がある！なんで？」そこに入るのは、もちろんデザートのお団子です。
めしあがれ！
