Respect for the Elderly Day Holiday (on September 16th)
敬老の日にむけて、ＫＡでは大好きなおじいちゃん、おばあちゃんに素敵なカードを用意することにしました。
クラスで練習しているwritingを披露するチャンスです！
Ｏｗｅｎがみんなに
"What would you like to write for your granma and granpa?"
と問いかけると、
"I Love You!"
と返事が返ってきました。
"Ok! Let's write I love you".
とみんなのストレートな気持ちを
カードに書くことになりました。
指でスペースを空けて次の単語を書くんだよ、普段のwritingで言われていることを思い出しながらそれぞれ真剣に
取り組んでいます。
まだまだ完璧ではないですが、子どもたちの心がこもったカードができました。
おじいちゃん、おばあちゃん、こどもたちのプレゼント受け取ってくださいね。

The children now can play together more than alone so this was our first moment of group game and fun!
最近お友達と協力したり、遊んだりする姿を多くみかけるようになったダックスクラス。
今回は初めてルールのある遊びに挑戦しました。一生懸命ビビアン先生のルール説明をきいています。
This game is about "TIME" . The children all ask the scary wolf, "What time is it Mr. Wolf?"Then Mr. Wolf answers a time:
"It's 5:00!" so they all take 5 steps closer to the wolf.
If it is "snack" or "lunch" time , then they must run away from the hungry wolf and not get eaten!
だるまさんが転んだに似ているこのゲーム。狼に時間をきいて、例えば５時！と言われたら５歩すすみます。
ゆっくり、ゆっくり。
そして”ランチタイム！”か”スナックタイム！”と言われたら、狼に食べられないように大急ぎで逃げなければいけません。みんな！あぶない食べられるーーーーーー！！
Recently in class, everybody is learning about "time" at lunch.We try to finish eating by 12:45 (or until number "9"). Us teachers were happily surprised how well they could listen and follow how to play the game.
クラスでランチの時”時計の長い針が９になるまでに食べようね”と言ったりする中で、"時計"に興味を持ち始めていたこども達。とっても上手にお話をきけ、ルールを守ってゲームを楽しむことが出来たこども達に、先生達もハッピーでした。

Making slime (Science experiment)
The kids had their hands full making slime!
We experimented mixing glue, starch, and flour to make the perfect slime, we then added some color to see what would happen.
スクールにあるものを使って、スライムを作ってみました！材料は、水のり、洗濯用のり、小麦粉。以上！
追加で、絵の具で色も付けてみました♪
まずは、ダグラス先生の話を聞いて…何を入れるのかな？
I put yellow and blue color paints!
With the starch it made a silky, runny goo; glue made the mix gloopy and slow; and flour in excess made dough. After some mistakes, we finally got it...the perfect slime.
More glue please! や I want to have flour!など、みんな大声で先生を呼びながら、自分だけのスライム作りに大はしゃぎ！
ぐるぐると混ぜながら、スライムの形が変わっていく感触を楽しみました。
