Bears & Tigers @ 千里山田校
Rainbow Garden Planting
Today the Tigers and Bears visited our Rainbow Garden across the street from our school.
When we arrived at the garden it was only dirt, but it soon became a beautiful flower garden.
Yukiko showed us how to take the flower plants out of the case, break up the roots then place it gently into the hole and cover it up.
We planted Snap Dragons, Pansies, Daffodils, Daisies and other types of flowers.
The children were very gentle with the plants and really enjoyed the process.
The children will be watering the plants next week.

山田校のベアーズクラスとタイガースクラスのみんなで、園の向かいに新しくできた「レインボーガーデン」にきれいな花々を植えました！
まずは、Yukikoからどのようにお花を植えるかのレクチャーを聞きました。
優しく根を持ち、ほぐしてあげてから土へ移します。
自分たちの小さい庭が出来上がるのがとても嬉しいベアーズとタイガースでした。

Lions have a chocolaty excursion!
Kinder B Lions went on an excursion to Meiji factory with two parent helpers! We helped the Pre-Kinder Zebras walk to the fire station safely on our way. We made sure they practiced holding their arms up when crossing streets, walking slowly, and using nice voices when walking in quiet neighborhoods. Good job Global Village leaders!
ライオンズは高槻茨木校の近隣にある明治製菓へ社会見学に行きました！同じ方面にある消防署に見学に行くゼブラズの子ども達の手をひき、リードして歩きました。横断歩道を渡る時には手をあげる、迷惑にならないように声を落として話す等、事前に皆で話し合いました。さすがはKBクラスです！
Look! It is Meiji factory! Kinder B class was so happy to walk to the factory and learn about how Karl is made. We could smell the chocolate from far away, but when we saw the factory for the first time, we all got very excited!
ほら！みえた！子ども達は園庭チョコレートの匂いを感じたことはありましたが、工場を発見して大はしゃぎです！今日はカールの製作ラインを見学することになっています。
Kinder B is getting closer to Meiji! We did a great job walking to the factory, making sure to say `excuse me` and `thank you` to people who were riding bicycles on the sidewalk next to the busy street.
子ども達は道ですれ違う自転車や人々に「すみません」や、「ありがとう」忘れずに言い、マナーよく歩けました。
The Lions class had to learn about the special rules of Meiji factory before we could go inside. We all washed out hands with sanitizer, then got to watch a funny movie about how chocolate is made and the rules of the factory. We took a fun quiz about chocolate while we saw the movie, but Mister M was our favorite character in the show.
見学前にルールの説明を受けました。きちんと手を消毒し、楽しいビデオ「チョコレートはどうやって作られるか？」を見ました。
We lined up in the lobby to prepare for going inside the factory. We got to choose our own partners, and walked carefully while we were inside the factory. Our teachers, guides and parent helpers were all proud of how good we were listening and following the rules we learned about in the movie we saw.
いよいよ見学スタートです。ヘルパーとして参加して頂いた保護者や、先生、工場のガイドの方々は、子ども達のマナーの良さにびっくりしました！
Our tour is over! We got to say thank you to our tour guide and enjoyed a fun moving board of all the Meiji chocolate and snack characters.
見学ツアー後も明治のキャラクターのボードを見たり、子ども達は楽しくて仕方がない様子でした。明治製菓のみなさんありがとうございました！
Before going back to Global, we all gathered to take a class photo outside of Meiji. It was wonderful to get to go o a final special excursion with just our KB class. We were able to follow directions, learn a lot about delicious chocolate, and showed ourselves that we have grown so much at our time at Global Village as students and young people!
明治製菓で記念撮影です！卒園前にライオンズクラスだけで行く最後のミニ・エクスカージョン（小遠足）が、とっても素晴らしいものになりました。指示やルールに従い、美味しそうなお菓子の事について学びました。何よりも大事なことはGlobal Villageで培った学びによって、皆がこれほど成長したことを自分たちで感じれたことですね！
