Zebras @ 高槻茨木校
As we were growing tomatoes, we decided to learn about where all the different fruits and vegetables come from. We were busy giving our tomato plants water every day to help them grow, so it seemed like a good chance to learn about how foods grow and make a class craft about it.
トマト植えをした体験からZebrasでは、毎日の水遣りを通して果物や植物がどのように育つの話し合いました。果物や野菜によって実のなる場所が異なるということを自分達で考え、大型製作のクラフトからいろいろな事を学びました。
First we drew a picture of a tree and some earth and decided where the fruit and vegetables would grow. In the ground? On the ground? In a tree?
まずはレッスンの前に黒板を使い、野菜や果物がどこに実を付けるのかみんなで話し合いました。
Next, we used our scissors to get in some cutting practice as we completed a matching worksheet.
その次に再度、自分たちでハサミを使いそれぞれでワークシートを作りま
した。
Let’s try and make a big tree together!
みんなで大きな木も作ってみよう！
We also tried to cut out leaves by ourselves. We did a great job!
ハサミの練習中。葉っぱの形に切れるかな？
After we cut the leaves and things, we stuck them on using glue. Can we remember where they should be?
切ったら貼りに行こう。
We made this cool tree! It was so much fun to work as a team together and learn!

Monkeys @ 高槻茨木校
Great City Building Project
For the month of August, the theme that we were following was the Transportation and Going Places. So, while learning about big important buildings in town, we also started building our own big important buildings!
まだまだ暑い日が続いていますが、セミの声もあまり聞かれなくなりました。その代わりに、夜には秋の虫が合唱をするようになりましたね。
さて、Monkeysでは現在、来たる日に向けての制作を進めています。
All buildings have windows! So, we gave the children yellow rectangles, and asked them to make the best windows that they could with crayons and imaginations.
黄色い紙にクレヨンで色を塗って・・・
（今では、指に力を入れてしっかりとクレヨンを厚塗りできるようになってきました。）
Next, we prepared the buildings covers. The children shredded large sheets of construction paper into hand sized pieces. We gathered them up all together and used them in the next step.
大量の紙をちぎり・・・
（「これくらいの大きさにちぎってね」という見本を見ながら、集中しています。）
With the papers in hand, and then their yellow window papers, the children lined up patiently, and waited their turn to glue their papers and windows onto the big box!
長い長い列を作って・・・
（沢山のことに興味がある中、順番に並ぶ、前が空いたらすぐに進むということも練習しました。）
One at a time, and very quickly the box was completely covered.
ぺたり！
Great work everyone! That’s one of many boxes that we are working on throughout not just August, but also until December. The next box will be red, then we’ll make a black box, and a brown one, and many many more buildings, and we’ll use them in the winter show too.
箱が完成した後には、各々が描いた黄色い紙をぺたり！
現在、緑とピンクの箱も制作中です。
さて、いったい何が出来るのでしょうか・・・？
冬には完成して、ある大切なイベントに使用する予定です。お楽しみに！

For the month of August we all enjoyed playing in the pool! We jumped and splashed and used so much energy that we decided to do some yoga to calm ourselves. Come and have a look inside the Rabbit’s classroom during Yoga Time!
8月は毎日プールでおもいきりあそんだRabbits。全身を使って遊んだ後は、心と体を休めるため、ヨガの時間を取り入れました。
First we dimmed the lights in the class and played some relaxing music to set the mood.
まずはお部屋を薄暗くして、リラックス効果のある音楽を流します。
“Okay, let’s all get into the yoga position.” We put our feet together and sit down very nicely around the carpet. Now we are ready!
ヨガポジション。様々なヨガのポーズにチャレンジする前は、両足の裏をくっつけてあぐらをかくように座ります。
The first animal is the baby fox. We stretch our arms up high and breathe in deeply from our noses.
赤ちゃんぎつねのポーズです。ひざをついたまま、両手を高く高く上に上げます。
Next is the sleepy rabbit. Can you put your arms behind you and touch your head to the carpet? Let’s quietly count to 10…
疲れて眠るウサギのポーズです。
Here the students are practicing the bear cub position and using their muscles to slowly stretch their legs up high. “Can you touch the teacher’s hands?”
クマの赤ちゃんのポーズです。足をぐーんと伸ばして、先生の手に届くかな？
At the end of Yoga Time we lie down on our backs and close our eyes. The Rabbits got better and better at taking that time to relax their bodies and breathe.
最後は、仰向けに寝転がり目を閉じます。
During Yoga Time the Rabbit’s classroom is quiet and calm. Most of our days seem to fly by so fast but the students enjoy trying out the animal poses slowly and quietly. We are all getting better at doing the different yoga positions as well. Good job Rabbits!
何度もヨガをする内に、この時間は静かにする時間でもあるという事を理解できるようになってきました。みんな、楽しそうに先生の真似をして、様々なヨガのポーズにチャレンジできました！

Frogs @ 高槻茨木校
Today we did a really fun and messy project discovering the properties of mixing two colors together. We first started with two primary colors: Blue and Yellow.
青色と黄色の絵の具で遊びました！この２つの色を混ぜるとどうなるのかな？
In the 2nd picture, we encouraged them to use their hands and feel the paint. The Frogs then dipped their hands in and started getting messy
まずは手で感触を楽しみます。
They discovered that yellow and blue make GREEN! The Frogs did well naming the colors and seeing that the mixture change. The Frogs mixed and spread their paint all over the paper.
青色と黄色を混ぜると.......緑になりました!!
The Frogs loved the touching and feeling the paint. They would squish the paint in between their fingers and rub the paint all over their arms.
絵の具遊びが大好きなFrogsです。絵の具を触っていると楽しくなってきて、手にも塗ってしまいました。その手をじーっと見つめ「Butterfly!」と手をヒラヒラさせて踊りだしました。本当に想像力が豊かな子どもたちです。
The Frogs also made designs and printed their hands on the paper. They had a great time!
その他にも手型を押したり、指を使って絵を描いたりと、思い思いに楽しみました。

Rabbits @ 高槻茨木校
こんにちは！９月より新入生を８名迎えた新しいラビットクラスです。
子ども達にとって居心地の良い空間にしようと、みんなで部屋をデコレーション中です。
今回はそんなある日の活動をご紹介したいと思います！
Chie made a beautiful tree to decorate our room with - but it's missing something!
Chieががクラスルームに、大きな木を作りました。でも何かが、足りないぞ...。
Look at the real maple leaves Jenny brought from Canada! We can put these on the tree!
そこでみんなで協力して、Jennyがカナダから、もってきてくれた本物のメープルの葉を飾りつけることにしました！
Chie helps us decorate the tree with the leaves!
Chieに少し手伝ってもらって...
Jenny does too!
Jennyとも飾りつけしよう！
We did it!
出来上がり！存在感のある木が完成しました！これからラビットクラスでは、時期毎に葉の種類を変えて、季節を感じたいと思います。
